I did wonder about having a Now page in Geminispace, but I still just like the concept and I enjoy seeing and reading them, so that's a good enough reason to have one.

Currently I'm reading "Hookland Fragments volume one" by David Southwell. Hookland is something people seem to either instantly get or never manage to fathom. I find it to be glorious and I will always love that it brought to the world the phrase "Reenchantment is Resistance".
I always have a jumble of books on the go, but I'm trying to keep this simpler! Perhaps I'll make and maintain a longer list in the future. I'm already over 100 books read in 2026, reading is basically why I haven't watched that cool streaming show you wanted to talk about.
Creating things ebbs and flows seasonally I find, or at least they have their own seasons and times and that feels as it should be.
Right now I have a music project and a video project I'm mulling over and exploring, alongside my writing.
At the moment I have a good flow that fits around my responsibilities and means that at least something is getting moved forward each day. Not always the same thing and often moving much more like a pawn than a queen, but forward is forward and I always feel better for the creating. Perhaps the feeling of having a good flow is simply being more patient with my pace of progress and recognising how much I need creating in my life.
I've been decidedly non-social over the summer, partly due to heatwaves and partly because my social overload limit is very low right now.
I do get out to connect with the more-than-human world though, and that is precious, precious time. Always end up telling myself I need to do it more often, routinely fail to do so. There's always time for the trees.
I'm trying to play music every day right now, leaving instruments in easy reach so as to remove friction from just picking up and playing. The folk tune "Halsway Carol" falls nicely under the fingers right now. Still to early to really be thinking of the coming of the longest night when we're still this side of the equinox, but my mind is still tending to the night side.
